Important Information Regarding COVID-19

Dear Patients and families:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety and the safety of our staff. WE ARE OPEN!

We will diligently start calling and rescheduling the appointments that got canceled from March 17 to May 7; please be patient.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the ADA, the CDC, the ODA, and OSHA so that when you receive care, its both safe and comfortable.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand and will ask you some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you come to the appointment.
  • Please fill the on-line forms ahead of time. If your child has a 6-month preventive care appointment please fill out the update form online: https://mysecurepractice.com/Truform/723de581-f062-46d0-aede-d232636058a2/Submission/Create
  • Please limit the number of companions to only essential people (parent/ guardian) and patient(s), in order to reduce the number of people in the reception area. Any extra companions must remain in the car.
  • Call us when you arrive. We will text you or call you back when we are ready to see your child.
  • We will take the temperature of the patient and the companion upon arrival.
  • We have a hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, coffee, childrens toys, and so forth since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that youre offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment, but we will do our best to accommodate to your family’s needs.
  • We will also do our best to allow more time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
  • The office will be cold, due to the extra PPE that our staff will be wearing, so you may want to bring a jacket or a blanket as we won’t have blankets for patients during this time.
  • We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
  • To make an appointment, please call our office at (405) 348-5757 or visit our website at marthagarzondmd.com.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.

Sincerely,

Dr. Martha Garzon and her Team
